XP, levels & badges
Exactly how XP is calculated, the level curve, and every badge. Numbers on this page come straight from the app’s settings and update automatically.
XP shows how active and reliable someone is. You earn it by finishing deals, it adds up to your level, and milestones earn badges. Everything below is calculated by the same code that awards XP.
How you earn XP
| What you did | Who gets XP | How much |
|---|---|---|
| Finished a quest | The helper | 6 XP per $1 of pay (at least 30, at most 300) |
| Your quest was finished | The poster | 2 XP per $1 of pay (at least 10, at most 100) |
| First quest finished in a new category | The helper | +50, once per category |
| Got a 5-star rating | Whoever was rated | +25, once per deal |
| Sold an item | The seller | 2 XP per $1 of price (at least 2, at most 100) |
| Bought an item | The buyer | 1 XP per $1 of price (at least 1, at most 50) |
| Gave an item away | The giver | 20 |
| Claimed a free item | The claimer | 5 |
Examples
| Deal | Helper / seller | Poster / buyer |
|---|---|---|
| $5 quest | 30 XP | 10 XP |
| $20 quest | 120 XP | 40 XP |
| $50 quest | 300 XP | 100 XP |
| $20 item | 40 XP | 20 XP |
Bonuses (5-star, new category) are on top of these.
Rules that keep XP fair
- XP is only awarded when money is actually released — not when a quest is posted or accepted.
- Repeat deals with the same person count less. Within 30 days, your deals with one person earn 100%, then 50%, then 0% for every one after that. This applies to the 5-star bonus too.
- If a payment is reversed (for example a chargeback), the XP from it is removed. If a dispute ends in a partial refund, XP is scaled to match.
- Your XP total never drops below zero.
Levels
Levels go from 1 to 150. Each level costs a fixed amount of XP within its tier, and higher tiers cost more. Your tier sets the color of your level badge.
| Levels | XP per level | Tier color | First level reached at |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–9 | 200 | Gray | Level 1: 0 XP |
| 10–25 | 500 | Green | Level 10: 2,100 XP |
| 26–49 | 1,200 | Purple | Level 26: 10,800 XP |
| 50–99 | 2,500 | Dark red | Level 50: 40,900 XP |
| 100–150 | 5,000 | Rainbow | Level 100: 168,400 XP |
Level 1 is free, so the first tier covers levels 2–9; each tier’s first level is priced at that tier’s rate. The top level, 150, is reached at 418,400 XP.

- Claiming free items doesn’t earn badges — it would be too easy to game.
- Five-Star counts ratings from different people, so one friend can’t hand it out.
- A streak counts quests finished as the helper in a row. It resets if you drop out after being chosen, cancel a quest you posted, or are found to be a no-show.
- If a reversal means you no longer qualify for a badge, it’s removed — and given back automatically once you qualify again.
- Suspended accounts keep their badges, frozen as they were.
